Stash Busting Daisy Bunting - Twisted by the Sea

Stash Busting Daisy Bunting

Confessions of a Yarn Collector

We all have one… that treasured stash of half-used balls and “too nice to throw away” leftovers. Mine has grown into quite the collection — one of the minor side effects of being a fully committed yarn enthusiast.

Instead of pretending it would somehow shrink on its own, I decided to turn those scraps into something cheerful. And that’s how the Daisy Bunting came to life.

How the magic happened

One of the joys of stash projects is the absolute freedom. No pressure to match dye lots, no strict colour plans — just pulling out what you have and seeing what works together. Soft pastels, brighter shades, tiny leftover lengths — they all found their place.

Each triangle feels slightly different, which is exactly the point. It’s a reminder that even the smallest scraps can still create something special.

And then it led to...

I loved this project so much that I wrote up the pattern, so you can create your own version and make use of your stash too.

If you’d rather have one ready-made, I also offer the finished bunting in my shop — handmade using my signature soft acrylic yarns.

Wait… there’s more

There may (if you are also a yarn addict, you already know the answer) still be a basket of leftovers waiting for their turn… but that’s a story for another confession.
